Hello! My name is Tim Grubbs, and I’ll be your host for the duration of your visit to this website.

Thank you for taking the time to look! This is my online art and design portfolio. I primarily work with classic pencil/ink illustration, watercolors, and web design.

Please understand, I spent the better part of the last decade resisting my natural inclination toward art and design — pursuing and achieving a career in information technology — out of a desire to provide the best possible life for my wife and daughter. Economic forces have put that career on hold for now, and this seems to be a fateful time to shift back to my original love of art. Because of this shift in focus, some of the artwork you see on here could be as many as fifteen years old (especially the pencil illustrations), but I’m working diligently to update each posted piece with more information.

I appreciate your bearing with me while I make this transition back to what and who I truly am, as an artist. Like many, I tend to be my own worst critic, but I am certainly open to feedback (good and bad) as part of the process toward refining my work and helping me understand exactly how my specific talents and abilities fit into the larger world of Art.

What prompted you to find this little-known… very little-known artist and designer from the backwoods of Florida?
